Clover

If you are familiar with Google Chrome, then you are also familiar with the tabs and bookmarks functionality the browser has to offer. Said functionality is taken out of Chrome and ported to Windows Explorer by Clover, a free application offered by Ejie Technology. Get Clover and you can enjoy tabs and bookmarks in Windows Explorer, just like you can enjoy them in Google Chrome.

Speaking about getting Clover, it must be mentioned that the application is available for Windows XP, Windows 7, and Windows 8. To install the application on a PC powered by these Windows editions you will have to go through the following steps: download a 2.5MB archive, extract and run the executable inside, follow the instructions presented onscreen by a setup wizard.

Run Clover and you will be presented with the Windows Explore interface. There is a crucial change though. At the top you will see tabs and a bookmarks bar – just like you see when you open Google’s Chrome web browser.

The tabbed browsing experience Clover provides is the same as the tabbed browsing experience provided by Chrome. You can open multiple tabs, you can scroll click a folder to open it in a new tab, you can close a tab with a hotkey or by scroll clicking on it, you can bookmark tabs, and so on. So if you’re a Chrome user, you will have no problems figuring out and accessing the functionality Clover has to offer.
